Part 2 : How to Build and Maintain Your Faith in God-Motivation for women

Updated: Sep 18, 2021

Continuing from a well-known story in the bible that is found in Luke 8:43-48.

Women of God, in getting to know Him, ask God to forgive you of your sins as you invite the Holy Spirit to dwell in your heart. There are many promises outlined in His word and once you claim these promises, you will gain strength in believing in Him. God will always keep His promises. In John 15:7 He says “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” He also says that you ought to “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:6-7. God does not make empty promises, you can trust in His words.

In building your faith, you can also read about the many miracles recorded in the bible where Jesus healed many persons and their lives were completely transformed. Blind persons were able to see again, lame persons were able to walk again and the demon possessed regain their dignity and went away praising God for His goodness, among others.

Can you continue to doubt a God like this who never fails to demonstrate His unconditional love towards you? You may be weak in your faith but God is patient with you as He also understands that our faith do not develop at the same pace. God still can work with your small faith as He says “….If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” St Matthew 17:20

Ladies, we serve a God who perfectly understands our faith journey and He is willing and able to guide us on a path so that our confidence in Him can be strengthened. It is important to read God’s word and become acquainted with His character. The more we learn of God in His word, is the more our faith will develop in Him. Sisters, I encourage you to seek God each day as you strive to build and maintain your faith in Him. The enemy may sometimes lead you down a path of disbelief but you can rebound and cling to the reassuring promises of God.

Like the woman with the issue of blood, I encourage you to press on in faith as you keep your eyes focused on Jesus Christ who will never leave your side and who will reward you for your faith.

Keep on building your faith muscles as you continue to grow stronger in Christ.
