The Quiet Questions We Carry

Aug 31
1 min read

Many people carry questions they never say out loud.

“Does God still see me?”

“Why did this happen?”

“Can I begin again?”

“Am I too far gone?”

“Will this pain ever make sense?”

“Is God disappointed in me?”

These quiet questions can sit deep in the heart. Sometimes they appear in the middle of the night. Sometimes they rise during worship. Sometimes they come when life is silent and the soul finally speaks.

The beautiful truth is this: God is not afraid of your questions.

He welcomed Thomas with his doubts. He listened to David’s cries. He met Elijah in despair. He answered Job out of the whirlwind. He drew near to people who were confused, weary, and searching.

Faith does not mean you never have questions. Faith means you bring your questions to God instead of running from Him.

Psalm 34:18 says,

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”

That means He is close to the part of you that wonders. Close to the part of you that aches. Close to the part of you that does not understand.

You may not receive every answer immediately. Some answers unfold with time. Some are revealed through healing. Some come through Scripture. Some come through peace that arrives before explanation.

But know this: you are not too much for God. Your questions do not disqualify you from His love.

Bring Him the quiet questions.Bring Him the hidden tears.Bring Him the thoughts you cannot explain.

He is gentle enough to listen and faithful enough to lead you into peace.
