A Table Full of Grace

Thanksgiving is more than a meal. It is a moment to pause and remember that God has been faithful.

Some years are easy to give thanks for. Other years are complicated. Maybe this year brought joy, but also tears. Maybe there were blessings, but also battles. Still, gratitude has a way of opening our eyes to the goodness of God.

The Bible says, “Give thanks in all circumstances.” That does not mean everything that happened was good. It means God was still good in the middle of it.

Thanksgiving invites us to look again.

You may see an ordinary table, but grace is sitting there. You may see simple food, but provision is there. You may hear family voices, children laughing, or even feel the ache of an empty chair, but God’s presence is still near.

A table full of grace does not require a perfect family. It does not require a perfect year. It only requires a heart willing to recognize God’s mercy.

This season, let your table be more than decorated. Let it be peaceful. Let your words be kind. Let forgiveness have a seat. Let prayer cover the room. Let gratitude rise louder than complaint.

If family is complicated, ask God for patience. If grief is present, ask God for comfort. If money is tight, thank Him for daily bread. If the year was hard, thank Him that you are still here.

Thanksgiving is not about pretending life is perfect. It is about remembering that God is present.

So breathe. Smile. Pray. Serve. Give thanks.

Because wherever gratitude is welcomed, God’s peace has room to rest.
